Student Hotel Accommodation – Roommate Finder
If you are interested in sharing a room at the 2016 American Control Conference hotel, please fill out this form. by March 31. The spreadsheet of all responses will be made available to you on April 1.
It is your responsibility to contact prospective roommates and to make the hotel arrangements. Individuals should conduct their own appropriate inquiries or screenings. AACC, AIAA, AIChE, ASCE, ASME, IFAC, IEEE, ISA, SIAM, SCS, and the members of the Organizing Committee assume no responsibility for your arrangements.

Students should make their reservations at the regular rate and then e-mail the Local Arrangements Chair (Sean Andersson, [email protected]) requesting the student rate and providing the name of their home department, college or university, and their adviser’s name. Once the student status has been verified, the rate will be lowered and the student will receive an e-mail confirming the new rate. There are a limited number of rooms at the student rate; they are available to conference registrants only and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.  Information for making hotel reservations is available here: http://acc2016.a2c2.org/hotel_travel.html

Application Friday Student Poster Session submission open until June 15
The Application Friday Student Poster Session (10am-noon Friday) is a great opportunity to showcase your work to a broader audience other than the ACC attendees. We expect many local Boston area practicing engineers, entrepreneurs, and students to attend the Application Friday events. Student authors whose papers are presented at ACC are encouraged to also submit a poster. All the accepted posters will be included in the material for the Application Friday registrants.

The posters feature results of student-related research, internships and/or co-op assignments, and capstone projects. Undergraduate REU project presentations are encouraged. Prizes will be awarded in several categories, but mostly this event gives students a great opportunity to present their research in areas related to the field of control. Submissions are due by June 15, with acceptance notices sent out by June 22. Posters must be prepared in size E (34” x 44”). PDFs of accepted posters should be submitted through the conference web site by June 1, and they are included in the Applications Friday materials.
